On 28 September, Money Pasar exhibited as a featured startup, and spoke on stage, at the Singapore AI Youth Festival 2026, organised by the Singapore AI Association. The festival gathered students, young builders, founders and industry voices around one question: how can AI and technology solve real problems for real people?
For us, that question has a very practical answer. It is about making it simpler, faster and more transparent for businesses to move money across borders.

Why we were there
Money Pasar began with a frustration many business owners know well. Sending money overseas is often slow and expensive, and nobody can tell you exactly what it will cost. Hidden FX markups, unclear fees and multi-day bank wires still affect cross-border payments across Asia-Pacific. Small and medium-sized businesses, which have the least room to absorb those costs, are hit hardest.
We built Money Pasar to change that. The festival gave us a chance to share the vision with a new generation of builders, many of whom will one day start, run or work in the businesses we serve.
At the booth
Over the day, co-founder Adrin Manohar spoke with working professionals, business owners, students, aspiring founders and fellow startups about how Money Pasar works and why cross-border payments are a problem worth solving.
Our booth: a live walkthrough of Pasar Business Accounts and 17+ supported currencies.
Conversations covered:
- How SMEs actually pay overseas. This included supplier payments, overseas salaries and importing goods, and why each step is costly with traditional banking.
- Pasar Business Accounts. These are multicurrency accounts that let businesses hold, receive and send funds in multiple currencies from one web platform.
- Paying to China. Businesses can pay suppliers in Mainland China in CNY straight from their Pasar Business Account, with batch payments that settle many supplier invoices in a single approval.
- Collecting like a local. Collection accounts for sellers on platforms such as TikTok Shop, Shopee, Etsy, Temu and PinDuoDuo let regional businesses get paid without the usual friction.
- Reaching people where they are. Payouts can go directly into Indonesian e-wallets including DANA, GoPay, LinkAja, OVO and ShopeePay.
- Where technology fits in. We discussed how automation and data can make payments faster and FX pricing clearer, so businesses know exactly what they are paying.

Sharing our vision
As a featured speaker, Adrin took the stage to introduce Pasar Business Accounts and share Money Pasar's longer-term vision: a world where an SME in Singapore can pay a supplier in Jakarta or a team member in Ho Chi Minh City as easily as paying someone down the street, with full transparency on cost and timing.

That vision is especially relevant at a youth festival. Many of the attendees are the founders, engineers and finance professionals who will shape how money moves across the region in the next decade. Money Pasar itself was started by students, with support from the NTU Entrepreneurship Academy, so the energy in the room felt familiar.
Thank you
